To help us keep up the high standard at the guest house and to make sure all guests enjoy their stay,

please obey the following rules:

 

PAYMENT :  Accounts must be paid at the beginning of stay. Only cash are accepted unless otherwise arranged. Should you wish to extend your stay - payment must be done before 10:00.

 

EARLY DEPARTURES :  No refund will be made for late arrival or early departures. Management may waive these conditions under certain circumstances at our sole discretion.

 

SMOKING : No smoking is permitted in the rooms. In case of noncompliance, the establishment reserves the right to charge an extra night's stay for cleaning and airing the room. Burn damages to linen, carpets etc, will carry a charge. Designated smoking areas are outside.

Illicit and non-prescription drugs are strictly prohibited, as is the excessive consumption of alcohol.

 

PETS : No animals may be brought or kept on the premises without prior arrangement.

 

DEPARTURE : Check out time is 10h00. Any late check-out will incur an additional R50 per hour charge.

 

KEYS : A charge of R300 will be levied should you lose the key/s or take them home. When you book out – please put the keys in the YELLOW KEY BOX (Against the telephone pole) in the driveway.

 

GATE : Please keep the gate locked at ALL times.

 

CHILDREN : Parents/guardians are fully and solely responsible for their children. Parents are to constantly supervise their children and they must please assist us in ensuring other guests are not disturbed in any way.

 

SWIMMING POOL : Only suitable swimwear may be used in the swimming pool

 

SILENCE : Silence is to be observed from 22h00 (10pm). The sound levels of music/TV must be kept at a reasonable level at all times.

 

ROOM SERVICE : There will be no room service on Sundays or public Holidays. Room service will exclude the tidying up of guest`s personal belongings (underwear etc.)

 

LOST PROPERTY : Please note that items left behind by the guest must be collected or arrangements made for delivery at guests' own cost within one month of departure. Thereafter all goods will be donated to a worthy cause at the discretion of Management, as we do not have the storage facilities for keeping goods indefinitely.

 

NUMBER OF GUESTS : The number of people is restricted to the number of guests as per the agreed booking.(If management suspects that the above rule is being transgressed, they reserve the right to carry out an inspection of the room anytime during the day or night.)

 

VISITORS : Any Visitor/s for guests staying longer than half an hour will be regarded as a Day Visitor/s and the guest who was visited will be responsible for payment of a fee of R100 per person for such visits per day. Day Visitors will not be entitled to make use of any facilities, such as the swimming pool, braai or any other facility available to paying resident guests only. The guest is responsible to ensure the rules are adhered to and any guest’s visitor breaking these rules will be for the guest’s account.

 

DAMAGES and BREAKAGE : Please take care when staying in our Guest House. You are liable for any breakages or damages which you can cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur.

 

MANAGEMENT’S RIGHTS : It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/ herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the premise. Management has the right to request any guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the Guest House forthwith, without previous notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so. In case of the default the Management has the right to remove the Guest luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him/ her.

 

LIABILITY : Persons making use of Die Stoep Lodge shall do so at their own risk and the company will not accept responsibility for damage, loss, or injury that they may suffer during their stay.
